COSPAR ISWAT 2025 Working Meeting February 10-14, 2025
The COSPAR ISWAT 2025 Working Meeting will be held 10-14 February 2025 at the Radisson Resort, Port Canaveral, Florida, USA. The ISWAT initiative is a global hub addressing challenges across the field of space weather. Information about the ISWAT initiative is available at: https://iswat-cospar.org/.
The working meeting will bring together the ISWAT community to plan the post-Roadmap ISWAT activities targeting to address Roadmap recommendations.
We are inviting Ideas/proposals for new community-wide endeavors and overarching activities. Proposals can be uploaded here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1GAtFvK-OaVLVeS9QHDgdxD15Um2LJe7E. Suggestions/comments can be entered here.
The ISWAT 2025 working meeting will:
- Discuss Roadmap recommendations and set targets for Action Teams to address
- Define new overarching activities and community-wide endeavors
- Establish new teams, plan new actions and collaborations to address new targets and priorities.
- Expand on-going community-wide research projects and jump-start new campaigns;
- Review approaches to source-to-impact pathways and advance predictions.
- Plan implementation of open science best practices in ISWAT activities
- Discuss approaches to global coordination in space weather and interfacing with user groups.
Parallel sessions are organized by Action Team Leads and Cluster Moderators. Join cross-teams and cross-clusters sessions are encouraged.

Plenary Sessions will include scene setting presentations by cluster moderators, discussions, and progress reports and action plans from parallel sessions. Special Plenary Panels will include:
- A Panel on Mars Exploration,
- A Panel on International coordination between space weather programs and initiatives
- Panels on NOAA Scales, Impacts, and Global Space Environment Quantities,
- A Panel "Space Weather Program Leads meet ISWAT: top-down bottom-up coordination
We are planning an Icebreaker and several Lively Discussions in the evenings.
ISWAT is a community-driven initiative. Success of ISWAT working meetings and the ISWAT initiative depends on active involvement of team leads, cluster moderators, and participants in meeting preparation and all follow-on activities.
Everyone is welcome to join ISWAT, to attend the meeting - and to come to the meeting with a view to joining one or more registered Teams (if you haven’t already done so), or to establish a new team.
