Introduction:
The User-focused Space Weather Training Network team aims to build a global community consisting of instructors, users, and experts who possess both in-depth knowledge of the space environment and a strong understanding of the needs of end-users. The whole spectrum of specific user needs will be at the heart of this training network. This community will share guest speakers, content, lessons learned, and best practices to better serve users worldwide.
In addition to offering traditional space weather training, our focus will be customized training on how the space environment impacts various user interests and assets. Backed by the expertise and resources of this expansive network, we plan to utilize advanced tools, visualization techniques, and multimedia resources to design training materials that address the diverse needs of audiences across different proficiency levels. A unique feature of this training network is the periodic communication sessions, where users/trainees can provide critical feedback on their needs and suggest improvements (reverse training) to instructors and space environment experts (either at the end of a training session or on its own), thereby continuously refining training materials, methodologies, and learning experiences.
