The Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space [COPUOS] is an intergovernmental body mandated with international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space, comprising 102 Member  States represented by Permanent Representatives, with Scientific and Technical Subcommittee [STSC] (and its Working Groups, including the Working Group on the Long-Term Sustainability of Outer Space Activities [WG LTS]) and Legal Subcommittee [LSC].

 

COPUOS, with its subcommittees (STSC and LSC), is the unique platform at the global level for international cooperation in space activities (general Assembly resolution A/RES/77/121 of 12 December 2023).
