Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA)
GISTDA is a government agency in Thailand responsible for the development and promotion of geo-informatics and space technology applications for various sectors, including agriculture, natural resource management, disaster management, and urban planning. GISTDA plays a crucial role in utilizing remote sensing, satellite technology, and geospatial information to support various government initiatives and projects.
GISTDA is responsible for the satellite research and development and operation of Thailand's Earth observation satellites and space safety and security technology: Space surveillance tracking, space traffic management, space weather and asteroid impact.
GISTDA has 5 main missions: 1) Space Innovation and Space industry 2) Space Technology Development and Research 3) Application and Solution for the benefit of society 4) Human Resources Development 5) Satellite operations.
